Volunteering at AFACAFAC depends on the help of hundreds of volunteers. Volunteers help in the warehouse and in the office. They pick-up food, plan events, glean and clean. In mid-June we honored our volunteers with a Volunteer Appreciation Picnic. For more picnic photos, click here. For more details on the picnic, click here.
We have volunteer opportunities listed by availability - weekday, evening, and weekend. Our most immediate volunteer needs are listed here. We have other opportunities like gleaning, cleaning, plant-a-row for the hungry and event planning. If you are a teenager, member of a business, civic or church group, or a Scout leader or member, we can use your help. Click here to see more ideas on family volunteer opportunities. Food Drives are a great group or individual volunteer activity that can be done on your own schedule, from work or home. We ask all volunteers to complete a Volunteer Profile Sheet. You can fax it to us (703) 845-8491, email it to us, or bring it the first time you volunteer. Click
here to download a form. These are some of the many ways you can further our mission here at AFAC. We hope you can join us! For more information, please contact one of our volunteer coordinators, Puwen Lee or Laura Jackson at volunteer4afac@afac.org or 703-845-8486. |
